Dollish Polish They're Coming To Get You Barbara

They're Coming To Get You Barbara was released last year for Halloween. This is a sheer grey jelly base. I've worn this on its own. It can be done, but remains on the sheer side. This time I decided to layer it. My base is OPI You're So Vainilla. The combo worked really well. Turned it into more of a khaki colour. I used  three coats of They're Coming To Get You Barbara. It smoothed out with a coat of KBShimmer clearly on top.

The glitter payout is pretty good with the exception of the skull and crossbones. I'm okay with that. I think they look like alien babies. My favourite is the bright green glitter. I think it works perfectly in this mix. As mentioned, this polish is from last year. Don't fret. There are some currently available!

Dollish Polish Looking For My Mr. Big

A little bit of spring time holo goodness for you today. Now this isn't a new polish, but that doesn't mean it doesn't deserve some love!

Looking For My Mr. Big is a subtle pink/purple linear holographic. I'm afraid it's one of those polishes that you have to see in person to really appreciate. This polish is on the thin side, but is well pigmented. I used two coats, but you may choose to go for a third. Leveled perfectly and dried glossy. I really do love this polish. Photos taken in shade and indirect sun. Please excuse the dry cuticles. This was the last of a swatch day.

Dollish Polish Afternoon Tea In The Garden Llarowe Exclusive

Welcome everyone. Today I have Dollish Polish Afternoon Tea In The Garden to show you. This is a Llarowe exclusive. And bonus, it's currently on sale!

ATITG is a white crelly with white, black, yellow, green, pink, and blue glitter in various shapes. This can be worn alone, but I chose to layer two coats over one coat of white. I would guess that you would need three coats on its own for full coverage. Applied easily and without issue. I used one coat of KBShimmer clearly on top to smooth it all out. This isn't a chunky glitter, so you shouldn't have any issues with using a regular top coat. Photos in shade and sun.

Dollish Polish Halloween 2013

I'll Swallow Your Soul is based on the movie The Evil Dead. This is a black crelly with gold and orange flakies and shards. Everything blends really nicely together. Dries to a satin finish. I recommend a shiny top coat to bring out the colour of the glitter. I needed three thin coats for full coverage.

They're Coming To Get You Barbara is based on Night Of The Living Dead. This polish has a sheer grey base and is full of various glitters in red, neon green, white and black. Includes larger black moons and white skull and crossbone glitter. I suggest letting this polish rest upside down for awhile prior to use. Even with doing that I was unable to fish out any of the crossbones glitter. I'll be honest, I'm not terribly upset by that. I think they look like alien bugs! For the pics I have two coats of They're Coming To Get You Barbara over OPI Stranger Tides. A glitter taming top coat is needed for a smooth nail. I used a regular top coat and you can see that it is chunky on the nail.

Dollish Polish Deadly Nightshade

Breaking out some of last years Halloween polishes. This was part of Dollish Polish's This Is Halloween collection from 2012. Yes, this is based on the movie The Nightmare Before Christmas!

Deadly Nightshade is a purple tinted base with pink shimmer, black matte glitter, and metallic aqua and purple glitter. This can be worn on its own, which I have done in the past, but I prefer this over a dark colour. Over something dark, it really shows off the pink shimmer in this. It also seems to have more depth when worn as a topper. Just my opinion! I have one coat layered over China Glaze Black Diamond which is a dark gunmetal shade.

Spank You Very Much over Victorian Viburnum

Today I have two indie polishes to show you. The first is Pretty & Polished Victorian Viburnum.
Icy Victorian blue with a subtle shimmer. Very pretty, but a bit too sheer for me. Photos show three coats and you can see some patchiness.

Dollish Polish Spank You Very Much is a glitter topper with teal, green and purple glitter. The listing for this polish says it can be worn without undies, but I don't know about that? I am wearing two coats in the photos with top coat. Applied smoothly. Bonus, this polish is currently on sale!

Pretty & Polished Etsy store is here or other store here. I couldn't find Victorian Viburnum in the listings. Not sure whether it is no longer available or just temporarily.
Dollish Polish can be purchased here. As I mentioned above, Spank You is currently on clearance!
Thanks for stopping in today!

Dollish Polish This Pop, Rocks!

Today I have another Dollish Polish from the new Candy line.

THIS POP, ROCKS! is a clear based glitter topper. Contains purple micro glitter, small pink hexagons, medium neon green hexagons, black diamonds, and lavender stars. The stars were difficult. I managed one on my nail. I have this layered over Essie Turquiose & Caicos. I'll have to admit, I had a hard time deciding what to layer this over! So many possibilities. Photos are 2 coats of This Pop, Rocks! over the base colour.

Chilling With Mike & Ike

Happy first day of spring! Of course it's raining here. Ugh :(

On to happy spring polish, shall we...

Dollish Polish Chilling With Mike & Ike is a milky green crelly with red, yellow, orange and green hexagons, along with larger white hexes and black squares. I found the black squares to be a bit elusive. I ended up with one on my nails. Photos shown are 3 coats with no undies. Applied nicely. The glitter isn't too hungry. This polish is from the new Candy Series.

Dollish Polish can be purchased at their store HERE. Currently you can also purchase from Llarowe HERE. Please note that Llarowe only carries select shades.

Thanks for stopping by!

Dollish Polish Toxic Avenger

Dollish Polish Toxic Avenger. Need I say more! Multichrome linear holo. I think all us polish fiends know this one. I was lucky to get a mini bottle of this as a "mystery" polish listing during one of Dolly's restocks. I've only worn it twice, because I don't ever want to run out. I'll skip a description and get down to the photos. 2 coats with Cult Nails wicked fast top coat.

You can find Dollish Polish HERE and I recommend following on FACEBOOK for updates on restocks and new polishes. I have no idea when or if Toxic Avenger will be available.

A Christmas Story - Dollish Polish

Seeing as how it is snowing where I am today, I thought I would continue with some of the holiday polishes I have. Dollish Polish A Christmas Story 2012. I ordered the entire collection from Dolly's BigCartel shop which can be found here. Currently the site is in maintenance mode. Click HERE to see my previous post on You'll Shoot Yer Eye Out, Kid from this collection.
Up first is I Can't Put My Arms Down! Described as a cherry red creme with red micro glitters. With my skin tone this actually appeared to have a bit of an orange tinge to it. I also found it a bit jellyish.  3 coats were used plus top coat. Still had a bit of vnl, but that was only noticeable in direct sunlight. Applied very smoothly. The micro shimmer is beautiful! Removal was a bit messy. I did have to go over it a few times to get all the red off my fingers.

Fra-gee-lay...must be Italian is a clear based glitter topper. Various shapes and sizes of red, green, and gold glitters. Base is thick, but still applied smoothly.

Thanks everyone for checking out my post. As per usual, all opinions are my own! Have a great day.

You'll Shoot Yer Eye Out, Kid!

You'll Shoot Your Eye Out, Kid is part of Dollish Polish A Christmas Story 2012 Collection. A clear based holographic glitter with large snowflakes. The listing stated that the snowflakes were "stubborn" but that may have been an understatement. Over the course of an hour I had only managed to fish out 4 of the snowflakes. Yes, I said 4. At that point I was done. Even with my frustration, I did like this polish. It's nice without the snowflake glitters. The base is a bit thick, but still applied easily. I applied this over essence Grey-t to be here.

I'm not sure why my camera is showing some of the glitter as a dirty gold. It doesn't look like that in natural lighting.
 With snowflake
No snowflake

Well, any thoughts. Dollish Polish can be found here. I'm not sure if her Christmas story polishes are still available or not.
