Blush Money by KBShimmer

KBShimmer Blush Money from the Spring 2015 collection. Available from KBShimmer and Harlow & Co.

Blush Money is a pink/peach linear holographic. For the photos I used three coats of Blush Money plus top coat. It applied nicely. I did still have some visible nail line. It was only visible in direct light however. Very complimentary to my skin tone, but may not be for everyone.

I also need to point out that I have worn this on my toes a couple of times. I think it makes for a fabulous pedicure!

Too Pop To Handle by KBShimmer

Hello again. Today I have another polish that tried to break my camera while photographing it! I've worn a lot of those lately.

Too Pop To Handle is a densely packed textured glitter polish. Neon purple base with holographic magenta, pink, purple, and blue glitters. This is what gave my camera fits. So much holo goodness. I used two coats plus two coats of Clearly On Top to smooth it out. Because this is so packed with glitter, you may need to dab a bit to cover lighter spots. This dries to a semi matte finish without top coat.

Were those photos bright enough for you? This polish is from the early summer 2014 collection. I should mention that I used a peel off base with this. If you don't use one, you will have the typical glitter removal nightmare! There is a lot of glitter in this!

Thanks for the visit.

Canada Day Nail Art

Back with one more Canada Day manicure for you. What can I say, I love my country!

The white base is Cult Nails Tempest. The glitter is KBShimmer Candy Cane Crush and the red is OPI Coca-Cola Red. The maple leafs are vinyl decals from Eat.Sleep.Polish.

The chevron nails are guides bought from NailVinyls. (link below) You may have noticed that the glitter nail has a bit of a brownish tint to it. This is from the scent used in it. If you layer it over anything but white, you won't have this problem.

So there you have it! I hope you enjoyed them. See you again, soon.

KBShimmer Teal Another Tail

With the weather getting better, I find myself breaking out some of my brighter shades. Today I have KBShimmer Teal Another Tail for you.

It's hard to describe this, there is a lot going on. It is a muted teal with a pink shift and micro holographic glitter. In certain lights I seemed to get a bit of a purple shift. I used two coats. I possibly could have used a third. There is just a touch of visible nail line. Applied easily with no issues. Photos are with top coat.

I really love this macro shot. You can really appreciate everything going on in the polish.

So there you have today's beauty. So you are aware this polish is in the process of being discontinued. It is currently available, but won't be for long. I suggest you grab a bottle, or a back up, while you can. The KBShimmer site can be found HERE. This product is also available at Harlow & Co. for international shoppers.
Thanks for dropping in to my little corner of the polish world today. Look forward to seeing you again.

Christmas Now by KBShimmer

Christmas Now is from the Christmas blogger collection. This polish was made with Crystal's Crazy Combos. When I think of Christmas glitter, this is what comes to mind!

Christmas Now is a bright green jelly filled with gold stars and various size and colours of squares and circles. And when I say filled, I mean FILLED! So much glitter that you don't need to go hunting for anything. Application was easy considering everything in this polish. I did need two coats of Clearly On Top to mostly smooth it out. This applies thickly, so you should only need two coats. And it is a jelly, so it can also be layered.

KBShimmer Fall Shades past and present

Today I decided to pair KBShimmer You Autumn Know and Quantum Leaf together. The first is from this years fall collection and the latter from last years collection. I'll admit, they didn't quite go together like I thought they would! Love them individually though.

You Autumn Know is a white based crelly with fuchsia, gold, and orange glitter in hexagons and micro bars. Although micro bar glitter is much easier to deal with, I'm just not a bar glitter fan. Other then that, the colours look great together. I used three thin coats for full coverage. One coat of KBShimmer clearly on top smoothed it all out.

Quantum Leaf has an antique goldish base. Various size orange and red glitter. I look at this and immediately think of fall leaves. Sadly, I think this polish is now discontinued. Photos show three thin coats with a coat of clearly on top to smooth it out.

KBShimmer Get Clover It

Happy Tuesday!

Today I have KBShimmer Get Clover It for you. This is from the spring collection and is available at their store if you live in the US, or at Harlow & Co if you are international.

GET CLOVER IT is an emerald green jelly shimmer base. Contains circle glitter in gold, green, and aqua. Photos shown are 3 coats with no undies. I still had some vnl, so I would layer it next time. If your nails are shorter you may not have this issue. Applied easily and wasn't top coat hungry.

On a side note, I would like to state that I love the new labels. All dark polish now has white lettering. So much easier to read then the black that they used to have. Lighter coloured polish still has the black lettering.
Thanks for stopping by today!

KBShimmer Iris My Case and Pastel Me More

These polishes are from the KBShimmer spring collection. Polish can be purchased from their site if you are in the U.S. or if you are international you can order through Harlow & Co.

IRIS MY CASE is a medium purple crelly with micro, small and medium glitter in white, blue, periwinkle, pink and purple. Polish applied like a dream. Photos are 3 coats of Iris My Case. Just a regular top coat is all that is needed. This is not a chunky glitter polish that needs smoothing.

PASTEL ME MORE is a clear based glitter topper with micro, small, and medium hex glitter. Various pastel shades. The glitter is dense and photos show 1 coat over various base colours. This polish does require a thicker coat or two of top coat to smooth.
Base colours used. Left to right. China Glaze Mimosas Before Mani's. OPI My Vampire is Buff, China Glaze Elephant Walk, OPI Dating A Royal.

I really loved both of these. Great formula on both. No problems with application.
Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed these polishes.

KBShimmer Witch Way and No Whine Left

Some purple on the plate today.

No Whine Left is a burgundy crelly base with fuchsia, blue, and purple hexes in different sizes. Photos are 3 coats, no undies. I do recommend a good top coat with this as the glitters do get a bit chunky on the nail.

Witch Way is a deep purple with tons of holographic glitter. Photos show 3 coats, no undies. I did have to dab in a few places to cover some lighter spots, but nothing major. Again I recommend a thick top coat to smooth out the glitter.

KBShimmer polishes can be purchased from their site if you live is the U.S. If you are international you can buy them from Harlow & Co.

KBShimmer Winter part 2

Today are the final 2 polishes from this collection that I purchased. Candy Cane Crush and All Decked Out. You can see the first 2 that I reviewed HERE.

First up is Candy Cane Crush. Various sizes of red and white hexagons in a clear base. Also, this polish is scented! I have read that a lot of people love the peppermint scent. Personally I don't. I have never understood the point of scented polish. I know, bah humbug to me :) I chose to wear this over China Glaze Def Defying.

This is just one coat of Candy Cane Crush! Applied very smoothly and all glitters laid flat to the nail. The clear base was a tad thick but didn't create any problems with application.

Next is All Decked Out. A forest green tinted base with gold stars and various sizes of gold, red, blue, purple and green glitters. I may have missed a colour in there! No undies used for the photos.

This was 3 coats of All Decked Out. No vnl. I did have to fish for stars, but other then that there were no problems with application. I liked how every nail ended up with a different combination of glitters. Gave this a unique look. Even with that being said, I only liked this polish. I really wanted to love it. I am a huge fan of greens, so this was the polish from the collection that I was most looking forward too!

KBShimmer can be purchased from their SITE. Or if you are international you can buy from Harlow&CO
