Black Sheep Lacquer One Woman Army thermal polish

Hello everyone
Back today with a new release from Black Sheep Lacquer. This is One Woman Army. When cool it is a light army green and a warm white when hands are warmer. Lots of gold shimmer and flashes of blue thrown in. Photos are three coats with a coat of top coat. All photos taken in artificial light. Sorry, the weather just wasn't cooperating.

These are the warm photos. My only complaint is the visible nail line. When I applied my hands were cool, so I was applying while it was green, so I didn't notice. No thickening of polish while applying. Even coverage and no streaking.

These are the cool. With my skin tone my fingers showed a bit pink. My apologies. The shimmer is very abundant even with the darker colour. The blue flashes are still noticeable as well. I thought they might get washed out, happy to report I was wrong.

I really loved the macro shots of both these polishes. Unfortunately I couldn't seem to get a decent shot of it in transition.
Black Sheep Lacquer is available HERE. The polish is Leaping Bunny certified! No guessing whether a seller is just saying that their product is cruelty free! For updates and new releases you can also follow on FACEBOOK.

Erin sent this polish for review with a purchase I recently made. All opinions are my own.

And I want to wish Black Sheep Lacquer a very happy one year anniversary of being in business!

Black Sheep Lacquer Calm Like a Bomb

Wow, Calm Like a Bomb really is a glitter bomb for your nails!

This is a full coverage glitter polish. Full of blue, green, turquoise, and holographic glitter. Photos shown are 2 coats with some dabbing in a few spots to make sure there was complete coverage. Could also be layered, of course. This is a bit gritty because of all the glitter, but nothing a good top coat can't deal with. Black Sheep Lacquer can be purchased HERE. Polish is 3 free and cruelty free.

Black Sheep Lacquer - Dropkick and Falling Sky

To steal Erin (the creators) own tag line "Cruelty Free Hand Made Kick Ass Nail Polish"
Don't you love that opening. Black Sheep Lacquer is a new Canadian indie polish maker that opened shop on January 12th, 2013. Full size bottles retail for between $8.00 to $10.00 cdn and minis are $4.00 to $5.00 cdn. You can find her Etsy shop HERE. Shipping is available everywhere and costs vary depending on location. You can also follow on FACEBOOK or Erin's BLOG. On to the polish...

Falling Sky is a holographic glitter base with small black squares and stars. I didn't have to fish out any of the stars. They magically appeared on their own. You could wear this on it's own. I'm sure it will appear more opaque on shorter nails. Since I have issues with VNL, in the future I would layer this. Applied easily. No formula issues at all. Fast drying as well.  Photos show 2 coats of Falling Sky.

Dropkick is a shamrock green creme polish with a wax like finish. I tried my best to capture the waxiness in the photos, but it didn't quite translate. These photos are all with 1 coat. Yes ONE coat. The formula on this is thick and you have to apply carefully. It didn't self level very well, so you can see some of my go overs on the nail. At least now I know for next time and will be more careful. I also noticed some bubbling. I honestly think this was because I didn't even remotely wait for my base coat to dry. I definitely see this being used in a St. Patty's day mani! Pics are without top coat. Dried really fast!

Make sure to check out all Erin's pages for more of her creations. I also have a few more to swatch for you. Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the polish world today.
