Today I have an inadvertent top coat review for you. This started out as just doing my nails, that were then ruined by a new top coat I tried. Blah. Angry nail lady alert!
I recently bought a bottle of Duri Brush 'n Go from my local Winners. I love Duri Rejuvacote, so I thought I would give the top coat a try.
The description on the box, verbatim.
Dry and shine wet look top coat is recognized for extremely short drying time, brilliant gloss and best nail polish sealer. Brush 'n go dries nail polish layers through including base coat, creating a uniform solid coat. This top coat never yellows due to unique formula combination. Brush 'n go could be applied on wet nail polish without dragging or streaking. Use Brush 'n go and "always sexy wet look nails" will last and last.
My mani started off good! These are four polishes from the China Glaze The Giver collection. The zig zag nails are a base of New Birth topped with Community. Ring finger is Capacity to See Beyond. Pinky is the same topped with The Outer Edge.
I did my tape removal and clean up before applying the top coat. It was at least ten minutes. (This was a full two hand manicure.) I do load my brush with top coat. As you can see, it was ruined. Sad panda. I really liked the look of these nails. So much for their claim of no dragging or streaking. It failed miserably in that department. It also left brush strokes. I'm not sure if I have ever had that happen with a top coat. Plus dry time was more in line with a regular top coat opposed to a quick dry.
So, overall opinion... This stuff sucks! Don't bother. Avoid. Save your money. I think you get my point. Has anyone else tried this top coat? What were your thoughts?

China Glaze Sea Spray and L'Oreal The True Diamond
Hope you all had a great weekend. I cleaned, not so fun.
Today I have two polishes for you. Something old and something new. Hope you enjoy.
China Glaze Sea Spray is a pale greyed out blue with a slight shimmer. In fact the shimmer is so subtle that I didn't know it was there until I looked at the photos! It's pretty, but I found the formula too thin for my liking. I used three coats for the pics. It did level nicely. The photos also make it look more grey. There is more of a blue tinge to this polish IRL.
Next I have L'Oreal The True Diamond #802. This is from the new Magic Top Coats collection that I noticed a few weeks ago in stores. I find more and more drugstore brands catching up with what all us nail fanatics are looking for! It is a shimmer/glitter top coat. Applies flawlessly and dries very quickly. Since this is a top coat, it can be worn over any shade. Of course, Sea Spray is the base I used. It really does look like diamonds on your nails. You can never go wrong with that!
Thanks for sticking with me! I appreciate all of you. Hope you enjoyed today's post.

Spank You Very Much over Victorian Viburnum
Today I have two indie polishes to show you. The first is Pretty & Polished Victorian Viburnum.
Icy Victorian blue with a subtle shimmer. Very pretty, but a bit too sheer for me. Photos show three coats and you can see some patchiness.
Dollish Polish Spank You Very Much is a glitter topper with teal, green and purple glitter. The listing for this polish says it can be worn without undies, but I don't know about that? I am wearing two coats in the photos with top coat. Applied smoothly. Bonus, this polish is currently on sale!
Pretty & Polished Etsy store is here or other store here. I couldn't find Victorian Viburnum in the listings. Not sure whether it is no longer available or just temporarily.
Dollish Polish can be purchased here. As I mentioned above, Spank You is currently on clearance!
Thanks for stopping in today!

Dauphine Of Decadence
Hare Polish Dauphine Of Decadence from the Last Queen Of France collection. (spring 2013) Hare Polish is available through their Etsy store, Llarowe, shoppe eclectico, and femme fatale cosmetics. You'll have to do your own research to figure out which site is best for you.
DAUPHINE OF DECADENCE is a clear base with gold shimmer glitter topper. Contains various size gold squares and hexagons. For a bit of contrast there is also some mint green glitter thrown in. Photos below are 1 coat of Dauphine Of Decadence over OPI Don't Talk Back To Me. Regular top coat is all that is needed for a smooth finish.
Pics taken indoors with artificial lighting. The weather has been down right dreary. Sorry. Anyway, hope you enjoyed. See you next time.

Essie Matte About You vs OPI Matte Top Coat
I picked up a bottle of the new OPI Matte top coat, so I thought I would do a quick comparison with Essie Matte About You. For the longest time Essie was the only matte I could find, and now there are a bunch on the market! This is good news. Every polish fiend needs a matte top coat!
You'll have to excuse my manicure. I've had it on for a few days and it's pretty beaten up, but it did the trick for this post. I am wearing Zoya Mira.
Essie Matte About You is shown on the index and ring finger. OPI on middle and pinky.
Formula was the exact same to me. OPI smelled a tad bit stronger. Dry time was the same as well. To me they appear to do the same job. I have no reason to recommend one over the other. I like them both and would suggest getting whichever one is more easily found. I myself purchased both from Nail Polish Canada. To be honest, I am not sure the availability of these worldwide. You would have to do your own research on that yourself. You should own a matte top coat though!
Do you have a favourite matte top coat? I would love to hear what it is! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have a great weekend!
Cheers
