Underlight - Color4Nails exclusive by Femme Fatale Cosmetics

Hello everyone! Sorry for my sporadic posting lately. It's harder when kids are off on Summer vacation to make the time. I'm here today though.
This is Underlight by Femme Fatale Cosmetics and was released exclusively through Color4Nails. This shade really fought with my camera. I've done the best I could. It was just so full of flecks and shimmer. I used three thin coats. I should have thickened up the last coat, but in person, the visible nail line wasn't as visible. It applied nicely and there was no staining to report. Teal/blue jelly base with purple shimmer and holographic flakies or shreds. You can also layer this over a similar base. The shimmer did disappear a bit once on the nail.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics Stonemother's Kiss

Stonemother's Kiss is described as a navy jelly base with lavender holo, navy purple shards, fuschia and glints of orange. Also contains large circle glitter. I used two coats of Stonemother's Kiss over OPI Funky Donkey which is a medium purple creme. As this is a jelly base, I do recommend that you layer it over a base colour. Any dark purple, blue or black would work well. The larger circles need a bit of patience. Some do come out on the brush, but you may need to dig for more. You will also need a good top coat to smooth our your manicure. I used a coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food followed by a coat of Seche Vite.
I have to apologize for the picture quality. For some reason this polish gave my camera the fits?

Overall, I like the final result even though the large circles were difficult. I liked how layering it over a purple gave it a bit of a blurple look! Plus, I like the word blurple!

And, in case you were wondering, here are a couple pictures of Funky Donkey so you can see the shade of purple I used. Please note that this is pre cleanup.

Lunar Halo by Femme Fatale Cosmetics

I have to start by warning you that this post features my new super nubbin nails! I had a terrible break on my swatch hand. Right down to the nail line! Ouch. Things like this happen and the polish must go on! Nubbins it is.

Lunar Halo is described by Femme Fatale as "A shimmering beige filled with iridescent blue and green shimmers, and accents of silver. Best layered over a matching base colour."
I chose to layer this over OPI My Vampire Is Buff. I used two coats of Lunar Halo over my base colour. This polish was extremely thick. Please be warned. Although it can be manipulated, it was difficult to apply nicely. The large hexes tend to sink, so I recommend letting the bottle sit upside down before using. This made it much easier to retrieve the large glitters. I used two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top top coat to smooth it all out. Overall, I like the final look of the polish, but I wish the formula was more manageable. I also need to point out that I did end up with chipping at about the 24 hour mark. I think this was due to the thickness. For more shades and where to find international stockists, please visit the Femme Fatale Cosmetics website.

Lime Thief by Femme Fatale Cosmetics

Lime Thief is a green/yellow jelly base glitter. Contains various size and shape glitter in teal, red and green. The first coat appeared very yellow, but the base got greener with each layer of polish. I used three coats for the swatches seen. Good coverage and no fishing or placing of glitters required. Photos shown are with top coat.

Femme Fatale Cosmetics part 1

I'm really excited to show off my first Femme Fatale Cosmetics polish for you guys. I just recently discovered this brand and was lucky to get 5 of them from http://www.harlowandco.org/. This is an Australian company and only ships within Australia. International buyers can get it through Harlow & Co or Llarowe. The post today contains 2 of the 5 bought.

Winter Hyacinth is a tiffany blue based creme polish with white diamonds and hexes and rose circles and hexes. Some appear holographic. Photos show 2 coats of Winter Hyacinth over Julep Robin. They went together perfectly. You can use this without a base, but I have read that it can take up to 5 coats. My polish A.D.D. kicks in at about 3 coats, so I decided to just go with a base!

Quivering Heart is a jelly polish tinted a plum colour with shimmer. Large red hexes. Medium black hexes and hearts. Some scattered purple micro glitters. Various other red and black glitters. It's really packed! Although there are supposed to be hearts, I can't find any. None came out of the bottle, and I couldn't see any in the bottle. I'm not saying they aren't there, just that I couldn't find them. Photos show 2 coats over a red. Again this can be worn without a base if you choose. I bet it would look great!

I really liked these and can't wait to try the other 3 I purchased! Have a super day everyone!
