A England The Blessed Damozel, Elaine, and Merlin

Today I have the new release from A England, The Blessed Damozel plus two re-released shades, Elaine and Merlin.
The Blessed Damozel is a rich purple with some slight shimmer in blue and fuchsia.  The shimmer is more noticeable in person then it appears in the photos. I had no issues with application. Very close to a one coater but I used two for these swatches. No top coat was used. It dries to a high shine.

This photo shows the polish in a lower light. You can see that the shimmer disappears, but the purple appears to be darker. It's a very rich purple.

Next up is Elaine and Merlin. Unfortunately I don't have the originals to compare, but from what I have seen, there is no difference with the exception of Merlin smelling different.
Elaine is a smokey purple creme. I guess an eggplant purple. No issues with application. Photos are two coats plus top coat. Again, could be a one coater. Merlin is a silver glitter in a clear base. The glitters aren't uniform, but all a similar size. On my index finger I have three coats of Merlin. I still have nail showing, but not a terrible amount. It applies very nicely. On my pinky I have one coat over Elaine. Good coverage with one coat. As you can see, this can be worn on its own or layered. I think I prefer it layered.

All three of these are currently available from Nail Polish Canada. They are also available through other stockists. Too many to name, so you'll have to research your best option. I hope you enjoyed today's post!

Pretty and Polished Swatches The Cold Never Bothered Me Anyway and Girl Next Door

Hello there! Today I have two shades from Pretty & Polished to show you.

First up is The Cold Never Bothered Me Anyway from the Winter 2014 collection. This is a blue jelly with tons of silver bling. I used three coats plus top coat. I did have to let the bottle rest upside down for a bit, as the larger glitter had begun to settle.

Up next is a glitter topper, Girl Next Door from the Country Girl collection. Mix of gold, minty blue, and royal blue. I have this layered over Cult Nails Lamestain. I thought it was a great combo except for the fact that the clean up of Lamestain was a major pain that didn't go well. Photos are one coat of Girl Next Door. Really good coverage for a glitter topper.

Nails Inc Bruton Mews and Whitechapel

Hello there everyone. I hope you've all had a great start to the new year. So far mine has been okay. Quiet, the way I like it.
Today I have two new Nails Inc polishes for you. Both of these were purchased from Sephora.

Bruton Mews is my base. It is a forest green creme. Very close to a one coater. Great application with no issues to report. This is part of the new Nails Inc Nailkale line. I should also mention that I have the Nailkale base coat and am in love with it. Just an fyi. I decided to top this with Whitechapel. This is a glitter topper with white mini bars, white hexes and lots of micro gold and holo glitter. This is ONE coat. No dabbing, fishing, swishing, etc. Super application with great coverage.

I have to say I love both of these! Nails Inc's rebranding has really impressed me. The big square bottles are super easy to deal with. Love the brushes. Great formulas for the ones I have tried. Super happy.
I hope you enjoyed. See you soon ;)

Rica Leopard Spot Glitter Polishes Swatches

Today I have three new glitter toppers from Rica Polish. All three feature the new leopard spot glitters that are popping up in polishes. Post is pic heavy!

L - R: LF Neon Leopard, The Cat's Meow, Purrfectly Kissed
Rica leopard glitter polishes

Quick rundown for you. All of these required the leopard spots to be fished out. These have what I call a "slippery" base. Meaning the glitter slides off the brush as you take it out of the bottle. All are finished with a coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and a top coat.

Purrfectly Kissed features a pastel pink leopard glitter with various pastel glitters and micro blue glitter. Layered over Barielly Money Talks. This is two coats of the smaller glitters and placing of the leopard spots. The fishing was fairly easy with this one.

LF Neon Leopard ( Lisa Frank inspired ) Features white leopard with various bright and black glitter in micro and small sizes. One coat layered over Illamasqua Grab. This had the best coverage of the bunch. One leopard came out of the bottle on its own. The rest were placed but the easiest to fish.

The Cat's Meow is a silver holographic leopard with silver, blue, and purple holo glitters. This was the sparsest coverage of the three.  At times I would only have one glitter on the brush. This also required a lot of effort to get the leopard spots out of the bottle. This is layered over Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Pagan. I really loved the combo of these two together.

Although these don't have the greatest application, I do like the way they look. Tons of layering options with these too. What do you think? Worth the effort? These polishes are available from Rica's Etsy Shop.
Thanks for sticking through the whole post.

MckFresh Nail Attire Witchy Tutu

Today I have Witchy Tutu from MckFresh Nail Attire.

Witchy Tutu is a clear based glitter topper filled with too many different glitters to mention. Let's just leave it at multi-shaped, multi-coloured! No issues with application or formula. I used two coats over Barry M Olive. You could pretty much layer this over whatever colour undie you wanted. I had pretty good coverage with one coat, but it was so much fun that I threw on another.

Emily de Molly The Unloved

Today I have Emily de Molly The Unloved. This is a dark red jelly with pink and red glitter. There are also large silver holographic dots.
I had pretty good coverage with two coats. Some areas were a bit lighter, but nothing too noticeable in person. The large dot glitters were a bit elusive. If you wanted some on every nail you'll need to fish a few out of the bottle. Was smooth with a coat of KBShimmer clearly on top.

OPI DS Titanium

OPI Titanium is a new Designer Series release.

Dark charcoal with iridescent flakies and silver micro glitter. I found the application to be a bit of a challenge. I did three coats plus a bit of dabbing. Once I got into natural light I noticed that there were still some areas that didn't have very good coverage. It dries to a matte finish. I applied top coat for the pics.

I have to say that I was pretty disappointed with this. It should look great, but for some reason it just didn't work for me. I may try layering it and see if the results are any better. And please note that this tends to eat top coat, so you may need two coats.

I purchased this from Nail Polish Canada. All opinions are mine.

China Glaze Don't Let The Dead Bite Swatches

Today I have swatches of Don't Let The Dead Bite. This is the only polish I got from the China
Glaze Halloween polishes this year. The rest just didn't look appealing to me.

This has a flesh toned nude crelly base with various shapes of red glitter. It applied really easily and I had full coverage in two coats. Photos below are with top coat.

These two photos are with OPI matte top coat.

I think I preferred it matted. Anyway, I liked this, but didn't love it. Formula wise there were no issues. It was actually quite flattering with my skin tone. I was surprised by that.
Thanks for the visit. Hope you aren't sick of Halloween polishes yet!

Dollish Polish They're Coming To Get You Barbara

They're Coming To Get You Barbara was released last year for Halloween. This is a sheer grey jelly base. I've worn this on its own. It can be done, but remains on the sheer side. This time I decided to layer it. My base is OPI You're So Vainilla. The combo worked really well. Turned it into more of a khaki colour. I used  three coats of They're Coming To Get You Barbara. It smoothed out with a coat of KBShimmer clearly on top.

The glitter payout is pretty good with the exception of the skull and crossbones. I'm okay with that. I think they look like alien babies. My favourite is the bright green glitter. I think it works perfectly in this mix. As mentioned, this polish is from last year. Don't fret. There are some currently available!

MckFresh Nail Attire The Labyrinth

Hello everyone. Today I have a polish from an Australian indie maker for you. Don't worry, polishes are available worldwide!
This is The Labyrinth. It's a glitter topper made up of black bars, different greens, and white in various sizes. I have two coats of The Labyrinth layered over Sally Hansen Coat Of Arms. Please excuse the clean up. The gold shimmer just spread. I had sparkly fingers for awhile! No issues with application other then not many bars made it onto my nails. Personally, this is fine, bars are my least favourite glitter shape.
