Picture Polish Hercynia Swatches

Hello everyone. Today I have a few pics of Picture Polish Hercynia for you.

Hercynia is a 2014 collaboration shade by Nailderella. Sparkly evergreen mix of holo and coloured flecks. Surprisingly, this polish contains no glitter. It applied smoothly and evenly in two coats. Make sure to wrap your tips to avoid tip wear too soon. I wore this a lot over the holidays. It is a very Christmas appropriate green.

I truly loved this polish. Of course, greens are my thing! You can find this at Picture Polish and you can also find a link with suppliers worldwide. I hope you enjoyed!

Picture Polish Grace

Today I have Picture Polish Grace swatches for you.

It's a very pretty pale pink scattered holographic. No glitter in this polish. I didn't use a ridge filling base, but as you can see I should have. The formula was thinner then I expected it to be. I used three thin coats. Some of my larger flaws aren't quite covered. Remember to use a good base coat if you need it! Other then being on the thin side, I didn't have any issues. Pics are with top coat.

Picture Polish Grace is part of the Opulence series. For more information please visit the Picture Polish site. They have a lot of international stockists, so you are better off to check here. I hope you enjoyed!

Picture Polish Blue Dog

Today I have a Picture Polish collaboration for you. This polish was created with Vampy Varnish.

Blue Dog is a dusty blue with blue and purple flecks. It was kind of hard to capture it all nicely. Great formula. Two coats for full coverage and self leveled perfectly. Nice and shiny with a top coat.

So blue isn't a shade I normally gravitate towards, but this one caught my eye, and I wasn't disappointed. Everything really works together nicely. I bought this from Nail Polish Canada. If you would like a list of international stockists or to purchase directly, please visit Picture Polish.
Thanks for the visit!

Picture Polish Solar Flare and comparison

Hi everyone. Today I have Picture Polish Solar Flare for you. This is a great looking colour shifting scattered holo! That was a mouthful.
I have two coats of Solar Flare layered over Cult Nails Nevermore. Shifts from red, orange, and gold. I really like it. Photos are taken at various angles in different lighting to show the effects. Please note that I didn't try this without the black base.

And because I had a couple Ozotics in my stash with similar colouring, I thought I would show them compared to Solar Flare.  The following pictures show Solar Flare on my middle and pinky fingers with Ozotic 531 on my index finger and Ozotic 530 on my ring finger. As you can see, there are no dupes here! Both Ozotic polishes are also layered over black.

I prefer the new Solar Flare to the Ozotics. For information on Picture Polish and where to purchase, please click HERE. It seems to be out of stock on their site, but you still might be able to get it from one of the other stockists listed.
Thanks for the visit! Have a great weekend.

Picture Polish Lagoon and MoYou stamping plate Sailor 04

Under the sea is the stamping challenge this week in a facebook group I am in. Thought I would give it a go since I don't stamp as much as I would like. I am getting better at it though!

We'll start with my base. This is Picture Polish Lagoon. It's a turquoise jelly with turquoise glitter and a bit of silver shimmer. I needed three coats for full coverage. Photos are with top coat. No issues with application, but it is on the sheer side. Very nice shade and would complement a lot of skin tones.

I used MoYou stamping plate Sailor 04 with Konad special silver stamping polish. I like the way it turned out. The waves on the index and pinky aren't that noticeable because of my small nails. I tend to lose parts of patterns a lot. Nothing to do with the design of the plate, that's just what happens when you have toddler size nails.

Picture Polish Hussy

Picture Polish Hussy. A new 2014 collaboration shade designed with the blog Holographic Hussy.

The newest collaboration shades are part of Picture Polishes new linear holographic formulation that are designed to look 3 dimensional in low light and obviously super stunning in sunlight. This is a great purple holo. Full coverage in two coats and absolutely amazing formula. It was one of those polishes that just made me feel happy to be wearing it. I always need a bit of a pick me up in the winter months and this delivered. Photos show two coats plus top coat. Apologies for the macro shot, the holo hurt my camera!

electric dream and freya's cats from picture polish

I have two of the new Picture Polish collaboration shades for you today. I don't know about you, but I always look forward to these releases!

Electric Dream by Nail Polish Anon. "Shapes that shift shine so bright." This is a neon coral with gold flecks and a scattered holo! Quite hard to capture the spark in this, but IRL it is quite eye catching. FYI, this contains no glitter. It just looks like it does. Photos are three thin coats with top coat. No issues with application report.

Freya's Cats by Nihrida. "For all the nail cat ladies!" Freya's Cats is a royal blue crelly with holographic shimmer. Officially this is considered a blurple jelly, but I just don't see it that way. I normally don't gravitate to blue polishes, but I had to have this and I wasn't disappointed. Totally amazing. Photos are three thin coats with top coat. Again, no issues with formula.

Picture Polish skittle colourblock manicure

My first colourblock manicure! The lines could be crisper, but all things considered, I think it turned out pretty well! I dubbed it a skittle as well because I used 11 different colours.

My base is OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. The other colours are all Picture Polish collaboration shades. I used hope, sea jewel, kyrptonite, lagoon, shy violet, demeter, shocked, freya's cats, focus, electric dream and mallard.

Did you notice? I have pictures of the dreaded other hand! LOL...
