A England Sparks Divine and Whispering Waves

Hi everyone, today I have the two new A England Heavenly Quotes shades for you, Sparks Divine and Whispering Waves.

Sparks Divine is a toffee brown with a fine silver holographic glitter. It is one of the thinner A Englands I have used. I'm used to this brand being close to one coaters, so I was a bit disappointed that I needed three coats for this. You can see in the photos that there is still some VNL. It does apply nicely however. Lovely colour that went well with my skin tone, but may not suit everyone.   Pics are with top coat.

Whispering Waves is a stunning blue turquoise with fine holographic shimmer. This also has a pinky purple shift that for the life of me I could not capture. It is a subtle shift though. This polish applied like a dream. Very close to a one coater. I did go over with a second thin coat just tao be sure. It does dry a bit matte, so make sure to use a top coat! Really love this.

All photos taken in artificial light. Unfortunately where I am the weather hasn't been very cooperative lately. These both look better in natural light, but what can you do?

A England The Blessed Damozel, Elaine, and Merlin

Today I have the new release from A England, The Blessed Damozel plus two re-released shades, Elaine and Merlin.
The Blessed Damozel is a rich purple with some slight shimmer in blue and fuchsia.  The shimmer is more noticeable in person then it appears in the photos. I had no issues with application. Very close to a one coater but I used two for these swatches. No top coat was used. It dries to a high shine.

This photo shows the polish in a lower light. You can see that the shimmer disappears, but the purple appears to be darker. It's a very rich purple.

Next up is Elaine and Merlin. Unfortunately I don't have the originals to compare, but from what I have seen, there is no difference with the exception of Merlin smelling different.
Elaine is a smokey purple creme. I guess an eggplant purple. No issues with application. Photos are two coats plus top coat. Again, could be a one coater. Merlin is a silver glitter in a clear base. The glitters aren't uniform, but all a similar size. On my index finger I have three coats of Merlin. I still have nail showing, but not a terrible amount. It applies very nicely. On my pinky I have one coat over Elaine. Good coverage with one coat. As you can see, this can be worn on its own or layered. I think I prefer it layered.

All three of these are currently available from Nail Polish Canada. They are also available through other stockists. Too many to name, so you'll have to research your best option. I hope you enjoyed today's post!

Infinity Snowflake Stamping

This is the first Infinity plate that I have tried. Really happy with it. I ordered a few more at the same time and can't wait to use them.
The base is Barry M Sugar Apple, stamped with Mentality blue opaque and Konad special silver. The plate is Infinity 79. This is one of those mani's that I liked some of nails and some not so much. I even managed to get a picture of my "other" hand to show you.

I know there are a lot of snowflake nails but there are so many options for them. Kind of like an actual snowflake, no two are the same.

Tip Top Nails Cha Cha Cha and Rocky Road

Good day to everyone! Today I have a special post for you. I was gifted both of these polishes through a facebook group that I am in. I received two Tip Top polishes all the way from South Africa. My first chance at trying this brand. Another big thank you to Kerry from the blog Painted Fingertips. Make sure to visit her blog too!

Cha Cha Cha #980 is a bright tiffany blue creme. Think China Glaze For Audrey, but brighter. I used two coats plus top coat. I found that it dried fast on the brush so you need to work somewhat quickly. It had good coverage and self leveled well.
Rocky Road #926 is a silver holographic glitter top coat. The base has a nice formula. Glitter payout isn't huge, so I recommend using the dabbing technique if you want the most coverage possible. The photos show one coat of Rocky Road. A regular top coat smooths this out perfectly.

I really enjoyed both of these polishes.
As far as I can find, this brand is only available in South Africa. If anyone has other information, please share it! You can find their website HERE, but be warned that there isn't a whole lot of information on it. You can also follow them on facebook HERE.
Thanks for the visit. Hope to see you all back soon.

Dance Legend 161 Thermal Polish

Hello readers. Today I have Dance Legend 161 for you. Dance Legend is a Russian brand that is available internationally at Llarowe.

161 is a thermal polish that when warm is a bright light grey/white and while cool is a granite grey. Also contains silver shimmer that shows nicely at all times. I used three thin coats plus top coat. I had no issues with the formula. Wore this for three days with only minimal tip wear when I removed.

I admit that I have a bit of a weakness for thermals. I really loved this and it got a ton of compliments while I was wearing it. As mentioned, I purchased this at Llarowe. Unfortunately it is currently out of stock. Sorry about that. Hope you enjoyed.

Picture Polish Lagoon and MoYou stamping plate Sailor 04

Under the sea is the stamping challenge this week in a facebook group I am in. Thought I would give it a go since I don't stamp as much as I would like. I am getting better at it though!

We'll start with my base. This is Picture Polish Lagoon. It's a turquoise jelly with turquoise glitter and a bit of silver shimmer. I needed three coats for full coverage. Photos are with top coat. No issues with application, but it is on the sheer side. Very nice shade and would complement a lot of skin tones.

I used MoYou stamping plate Sailor 04 with Konad special silver stamping polish. I like the way it turned out. The waves on the index and pinky aren't that noticeable because of my small nails. I tend to lose parts of patterns a lot. Nothing to do with the design of the plate, that's just what happens when you have toddler size nails.

Zoya Dahlia swatches

Dahlia is a PixieDust shade from Zoya. Personally Zoya makes my favourite textured polishes.

Dahlia is black with fine silver glitter. Opaque in two coats. No top coat, of course. Some of the PixieDusts do look good with top coat, but I prefer them without.

Being in Canada I have few options to purchase these. My go to is Nail Polish Canada. I sometimes can find them at Winners. How do you guys feel about textured polish. Is the fad done? I think they might stick around a bit longer. Also, just an FYI, I think the PixieDusts are great on toes! Try it out.

The Brave from Pop Culture Cosmetics

Pop Culture Cosmetics The Brave is from The Factions collection. Based on the Divergent book series. I love these books! My daughter got me hooked. The final book comes out Oct. 22 and I'll be at the store when it opens to get it!

The Brave is based on the Dauntless faction. It is a black jelly with silver and iridescent glitter in many shapes and sizes. There are also some larger black circles. Hard to see in the pictures because they blend with the base colour. Photos are three coats of The Brave. No vnl to report. You could also layer this over black. Very smooth considering all the glitter in this. I was pleasently surprised.

Dance Legend No 9 Sand!Which? and No 12 White Noise

Today I am showing you two Dance Legend polishes from the Sahara Crystal line. The line is textured polish.

Sand!Which? is a pink glitter with silver shimmer. Full coverage in two coats. Formula was on the thicker side but had no issues applying it. Average drying time. Also, it dries shiny on its own. Photos below show pics with and without top coat. I can't decide which I like better. Overall, I was very happy with this polish.

Next up is White Noise. Although this is from the same line, it is completely different. It has a matte white creme base with small black and silver glitter. Again, the formula was on the thicker side, but this was much harder to apply nicely. I used two coats and then dabbed a third to cover some areas. You will also notice in the pictures that it does hang over the end of the nail. I didn't file this down as I was just doing some swatching of it. This also had a longer drying time. It kind of makes me think that it looks like painting your nails in white out and then sprinkling some pepper on them. Photos below show with and without topcoat. Overall, not a fan. Disappointed as I was quite excited to get this one.

These polishes were purchased from Llarowe. As I write this Sand!Which? is in stock and White Noise is sold out. I would sign up for their newsletter to learn about restocks. Thanks for stopping by today, and as always I would love to hear you thoughts! Dance Legend is new to me, but I have a few more that I purchased at the same time to show you guys. Stay tuned!
