Blush Money by KBShimmer

KBShimmer Blush Money from the Spring 2015 collection. Available from KBShimmer and Harlow & Co.

Blush Money is a pink/peach linear holographic. For the photos I used three coats of Blush Money plus top coat. It applied nicely. I did still have some visible nail line. It was only visible in direct light however. Very complimentary to my skin tone, but may not be for everyone.

I also need to point out that I have worn this on my toes a couple of times. I think it makes for a fabulous pedicure!

Glam Polish Margaritaville swatch and review

Glam Polish is a new to me brand. Mostly because until recently it was only available in Australia. Now I have the option of purchasing either through Color4Nails or Llarowe.

Margaritaville is a peach base with purple metallic glitter and bright pink hexagon and lime green squares. The larger pinks were a little elusive, but you didn't really have to fish. If you wanted more on your nail, you would have to. My favourite are the green squares. Just loved them! Application was easy. Three thin coats. Nice and smooth, no issues with hungry glitter! Average dry time.

I have to admit that this doesn't remind me of a margarita, but it is fun! For more information on Glam Polish, please visit their shop. There is also a list of places to purchase, no matter where you live! Thanks for having a look. Hope you enjoyed.

Delush Polish Her Ladyship

Good morning everyone. Hope you are enjoying your start to the long weekend!

Today I have Her Lady from Delush Polish Downton A-list collection. This is a peach leaning coral base with yellow daisy glitter and a mix of glitter in yellow, teal and pink. It sounds a bit overwhelming, but it all blends into the colourful base. I only needed two coats for full coverage. I could only get one daisy out of the bottle, but it is a mini size and I sometimes find them harder to get at larger glitters. A smoothing top coat is recommended.

essence Vintage District trio

Hello polish people!  I was able to find the new essence Vintage District collection polishes at my local Shoppers Drug Mart the other day! They don't always get new collections in so I was pretty excited. And for essence being carried in Canada, Shopper's is the only store I can find.

VINTAGE PEACH is a brown toned peach. Darker then what most of us would refer to as a peach. I liked the shade but found in certain lighting that is looked a bit weird with my skin tone. I used 2 coats with a coat of Seche Vite. I found that the formula didn't quite self level all the way. It needed the top coat to help with that. Pics taken outdoors in sun.

ANTIQUE ROSE is a darker, dusty, muted pink. Full coverage in 2 coats. Again, didn't quite self level all the way. You'll see a few bubbles in the pics, but that is actually from the top coat not the polish itself. Pretty colour. I think this would be flattering with most skin tones. Pictures taken outdoors in sunlight.

SHOPPING @ PORTOBELLO ROAD is a dusty teal blue shade. Not really sure how to describe it actually. I also have no idea where the name comes from either. Doesn't seem to fit with the previous two. This was another 2 coater and evened out better then the previous polishes. Please note that I just did quick swatches so I'm not sure if this would stain your nails or not. I'm terrified of trying new blue polishes for this reason!

Indoor. This is a more accurate picture of the colour.

Thanks for stopping in today. I hope you enjoyed the post. I would love to hear your thoughts!

Julep Kelly and Penelope

I was in the mood to swatch some nude/neutrals today. Not sure why? I chose two Julep shades, Kelly and Penelope.

KELLY is described as a blush creme. I think it leans a bit to the peach side. Went well with my skin tone, but I can see how this wouldn't suit for everyone. Formula is a bit thin and required 3 coats. I found it to be streaky, which you'll see evidence of in the photos. I do like the colour. Maybe with a more careful application in wouldn't look as bad?

PENELOPE is a pink/blush creme polish. Exact same formula as Kelly. Photos are 3 coats. Again, a bit streaky. Another pretty colour though!

So, what do you think? Do you wear neutral colours?

If you wish to sign up to become a Julep Maven you can do that here.

Thanks for stopping by my corner of the polish world. I always appreciate it and welcome your comments.

All That Glitters Bitter Hearts collection polishes. G.O. A.W.A.Y. and It's U Not Me. These were Valentine's releases. All That Glitters can be purchased here.

G.O. A.W.A.Y.  is a peachy/pink jelly base with circular glitter in red, gold, and pink. Also small gold flecks scattered throughout. This is thin but build able.  I have used 3 coats for the pics. No problems with glitter distribution. This can also be layered of course.
