Day 9 pre spring challenge - Rainbows

I'll have to say that I was pleased with the way this turned out! It's slightly messier then I envisioned, but it was close.

Polishes used for this challenge:
red - Quo by Orly Red Hot
orange - Quo by Orly Orange Pop
yellow - OPI Candle Light
green - OPI Jade is the New Black
blue - OPI Dating a Royal
purple - China Glaze Grape Pop
I did this over a base of OPI Alpine Snow matte to help the colours pop.

Applied using a dotting tool.

piCture pOlish Monroe

I have to start off by telling you that my plan was to swatch a few of my Picture Polish shades. After I put on Monroe, I loved it so much that I couldn't take it off. Now you get swatches of just one polish!

Monroe - a classic Hollywood icon. So is this colour! This is the reborn or new formula. I don't have the older version, so I can't tell you what the differences are. Monroe is a dark red jelly based scattered holographic. I will warn you that this polish does not self level, so be careful when applying. For the photos I have on 3 coats plus top coat. You can get away with 2 coats if you apply carefully. I still had a few lighter patches.

piCture pOlish is an Australian company and their site only ships within Australia. If you look up their network of stores you'll find that there are many options for purchasing worldwide. You can find it here.

Day 8 pre spring challenge - jewellery

I used scrapbooking scissors to cut the tape.

Thanks for looking everyone!

Nail Pattern Boldness Slow Invasion and Oodiful

The indies are going strong!
I have my two picks from the Time Traveler collection by Nail Pattern Boldness.

Slow Invasion is a teal jelly with various sizes and colours of square glitter. Because this is a jelly you do need multiple coats for full coverage. I used four. Surprisingly, it remained easy to work with. No problems with glitters bunching up.

Oodiful is a grey jelly polish with pale pink and pink matte squares and white matte hexes. I used four coats for this polish as well. It built up nicely, but you'll see in the photos that it is a little uneven. A good top coat will fix this.

Nail Pattern Boldness can be purchased through the etsy store here. You can also buy them through Llarowe.

Be warned, it looks like a toddler attacked my hands!

Enchanted Polish Hey Jude

Enchanted Polish makes amazing holo's. I only have 3 of them in my collection. I need more!

Hey Jude is described as a multichrome holographic polish that shifts from greyed khaki lilac to teal green to purple. I tried to capture this in the photos, but I couldn't do the shift justice. You have to see it in person to really appreciate it. Applied very nicely. Photos are 2 coats.

Enchanted Polish can be purchased through their big cartel store here. They can also be found at Harlow & Co and Llarowe.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoyed today's polish.

Dollish Polish Toxic Avenger

Dollish Polish Toxic Avenger. Need I say more! Multichrome linear holo. I think all us polish fiends know this one. I was lucky to get a mini bottle of this as a "mystery" polish listing during one of Dolly's restocks. I've only worn it twice, because I don't ever want to run out. I'll skip a description and get down to the photos. 2 coats with Cult Nails wicked fast top coat.

Day 3 pre-spring challenge green

I've made it to day 3. I know I haven't done any art yet, but I promise it is coming. If you want to call it art, that is.

Day 3 is green. I chose Zoya Gemma. I had a hard time choosing as greens are my favourite. I was going to stamp over this, but I love it so much on its own, that I couldn't bring myself to do it!

This challenge is being run by mommylovesnailpolish.com/ Be sure to check it out for all the details and to view other entries.

Daring Digits Gryffindor

Day 23 of nothing but indies. I hope you have been enjoying them so far. I can't believe I haven't missed a day yet.

Today I have Daring Digits Gryffindor to show you.
Gryffindor is a deep red or possibly brick red shimmer polish with golden squares. No need for undies with this one. Photos show 3 coats, but I could have gotten away with 2. Applied easily. I recommend a good top coat to smooth out the glitter. You'll notice that I have the older bottle. They now have a new, much prettier bottle and label.
