Happy Friday. Today my daughter and I are going to see the Divergent movie. Of course, this called for a mani to go with it! Very excited. I hope the movie doesn't disappoint.
Polish used on nails. OPI Skull & Glossbones, Give Me The Moon, I Saw U Saw We Saw Warsaw, Cult Nails Nevermore. Stamping done with Maybelline Bold Gold, Vernis Classique Copper, Mundo De Unas # 2 black and # 34 dark grey. Plates used BM H-08, JR 13 and 29 and MJ XV.
I hope you enjoyed my interpretation! I had to improvise a bit with stamps. The zombie hands weren't really the best choice, but that was what I had.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Mentality Meeny plus stamping
Today I have Mentality Meeny for you to ogle!
Meeny is an olive leaning green holographic. Definite gold flash to this. This is one of Mentality's stamping polishes, but you obviously don't just have to use it for stamping. Photos show two coats of Meeny with top coat. There are some minimal brush strokes visible. The stamping is done with Meeny over Julep Kate using MoYou plate sailor 04. No issues with the polish being picked up by the stamp. I was using a squishy stamper.
Please visit the Mentality Polish shop HERE. If you live outside the US and would like to purchase they have a list of stockists HERE. Not all polishes are available at these other sites.
Thanks for stopping to check out my post!

Vapid by Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics
Hi everyone. Are you all sick of green polish yet?
Today I have Vapid from OCC. It's a lovely pale lavender creme. The first coat was streaky, but the second covered completely. It didn't quite self level, but top coat did take care of that! I did have a few stray bristles on the brush that had to be trimmed. I don't know why, but this always drives me crazy. The other thing to note about colour is that it does wash out a bit in direct sunlight. I don't know if that is an issue for you or not, but I thought I would mention it.
This is the only polish I have from this brand, so I truly have no standards for it. I liked it. It isn't anything unique, but had a nice formula. I can see me wearing this again. The biggest downfall is that I can only buy it online from Sephora. It isn't carried in any local store.
Thanks for visiting and I hope to see you back soon :)

Picture Polish Solar Flare and comparison
Hi everyone. Today I have Picture Polish Solar Flare for you. This is a great looking colour shifting scattered holo! That was a mouthful.
I have two coats of Solar Flare layered over Cult Nails Nevermore. Shifts from red, orange, and gold. I really like it. Photos are taken at various angles in different lighting to show the effects. Please note that I didn't try this without the black base.
And because I had a couple Ozotics in my stash with similar colouring, I thought I would show them compared to Solar Flare. The following pictures show Solar Flare on my middle and pinky fingers with Ozotic 531 on my index finger and Ozotic 530 on my ring finger. As you can see, there are no dupes here! Both Ozotic polishes are also layered over black.
I prefer the new Solar Flare to the Ozotics. For information on Picture Polish and where to purchase, please click HERE. It seems to be out of stock on their site, but you still might be able to get it from one of the other stockists listed.
Thanks for the visit! Have a great weekend.

Revlon Ripe Raspberry
Hi everyone.
Today I have a shade from Revlon that I found at my local dollar store. It turned out to be a great find, I've used it a few times already. This is Ripe Raspberry which is a super creamy magenta shade. Full coverage in two coats and completely self leveled on its own. Kept most of its shine as it dried. I will admit that I had hard time getting a good pic of this. Don't know why this colour was fighting with me, but it did!
Lesson of today's post is to pop into your local dollar store from time to time. You might find a great score!

OABTRAD from Colors By Llarowe
Just so you know, OABTRAD actually stands for orchids are better then roses any day. And as the name states, this is an orchid holographic!
I had full coverage in two coats. Dried to a shine on its own, but photos do show it with top coat. No issues with the formula to report. I wore this for a few days and only had minimal tip wear. Very pretty, and I don't think my pictures do it justice!
Colors by Llarowe polishes can be found at Llarowe and they are also now being carried at Harlow & Co. Both ship internationally. The newer releases can be hard to get, so make sure to pay attention to sale updates from both sites.
As always, thanks for the visit!

Picture Polish Lagoon and MoYou stamping plate Sailor 04
Under the sea is the stamping challenge this week in a facebook group I am in. Thought I would give it a go since I don't stamp as much as I would like. I am getting better at it though!
We'll start with my base. This is Picture Polish Lagoon. It's a turquoise jelly with turquoise glitter and a bit of silver shimmer. I needed three coats for full coverage. Photos are with top coat. No issues with application, but it is on the sheer side. Very nice shade and would complement a lot of skin tones.
I used MoYou stamping plate Sailor 04 with Konad special silver stamping polish. I like the way it turned out. The waves on the index and pinky aren't that noticeable because of my small nails. I tend to lose parts of patterns a lot. Nothing to do with the design of the plate, that's just what happens when you have toddler size nails.
Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed my little fishies!

Formula X For Sephora in Zap
So.... Have I mentioned before that I'm not a fan of yellow.
This is Zap. It's part of the neon line from Formula X for Sephora. It's yellow. And really sheer. And really nasty. Sorry, I said it. Maybe it's just because I don't like yellow, but I just couldn't like this. The only good thing I can say is that I didn't end up with lobster hands. Anyway, the photos show 4 coats of Zap. As you can see, still lots of VNL. It dries to a waxy finish. No top coat in the pics.
So, if you own this and haven't tried it yet, I recommend using a white base to eliminate the visible nail line. I personally, won't be wearing this again, but will keep it for now. Maybe for nail art? I've tried a few of the Formula X shades and for the most part, I'm pretty happy with this brand. Huge selection in store. And of course available online as well at Sephora.
Thanks for stopping by, and I promise my next post will have something prettier!

OPI Taupeless Beach and Nail Vinyls decals
Good morning folks! Lots to talk about today.
First up we have OPI Taupeless Beach from their new Brazil collection. The colour is pretty self explanatory. I had full coverage in two coats. This is a very nice neutral creme. Work appropriate too!
Next I broke out my Zebra pattern decals from Nail Vinyls. I decided to mix it up a bit and use them vertically on my nail instead of horizontally. The decals are easy to apply and remove. For my stripes I used Mentality Prim, which is a brown holo. I really liked the combination of these colours.
Nail Vinyls can be found HERE and Mentality Polish can be found HERE. OPI is available at various places. Thanks for stopping by today.
