Teal Gradient with Julep Lissa and Donna

The Crumpet's Nail Tarts 52 Week Pick n Mix Challenge has begun!

The challenge for this week is two colour gradient plus teal. You can use one of the prompts or both. So I went for straight up teal. These are two untrieds from my collection, so it was a nice was to incorporate that in as well. I also tried a new technique. Obviously, that didn't turn out so well. I still liked the colours though!

Divergent theme nail stamping

Happy Friday. Today my daughter and I are going to see the Divergent movie. Of course, this called for a mani to go with it! Very excited. I hope the movie doesn't disappoint.

Polish used on nails. OPI Skull & Glossbones, Give Me The Moon, I Saw U Saw We Saw Warsaw, Cult Nails Nevermore. Stamping done with Maybelline Bold Gold, Vernis Classique Copper, Mundo De Unas # 2 black and # 34 dark grey. Plates used BM H-08, JR 13 and 29 and MJ XV.

I hope you enjoyed my interpretation! I had to improvise a bit with stamps. The zombie hands weren't really the best choice, but that was what I had.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Tri Polish Challenge Jan. 7

Hi everyone. This year I have decided to try out Crumpet's Nail Tarts weekly tri polish challenge. For the month of January the colours chosen were yellow, orange and red. Ew yellow! Anyway, below is my first submission.
Polishes used:
yellow - OPI Candlelight
red - Revlon Colorstay Red Carpet
orange - Sally Hansen insta-dri Heat Flash
glitter topper -  Nubar White Polka Dots

So I decided to try out some new things this year, and this is one of them. I also hope that it will improve my nail art skills. I guess we will see about that. Don't forget to visit the other bloggers below that are also taking part in the challenge!

Sponge Gradient

Today I have my first sponged gradient to show you. I know, I'm a bit behind the times! I'll admit that this didn't turn out quite the way I wanted. I was hoping for the colours to turn out a bit darker. Instead I think it looks like an Easter egg. Oh well! Practice, practice, practice. Done over a base of white. Colours used were Orly Coachella Dweller, Bondi NY Uptown Girl, and Picture Polish Fairy Floss. Topped with a coat of Glitter Gal Light As A Feather.

So there you have it! Easy enough technique, so I'll keep trying. This was applied by painting the polish onto a make-up applicator sponge and then applying to the nail. Clean up definitely required! Love to hear your thoughts and/or any suggestions. Thanks for having a look!
