Julep swatch and review

I picked three random Julep polishes from my collection to show you today. All Julep polishes are "4 free".

ALYSON is an almond creme. Nice appropriate work neutral shade. Nothing spectacular colour wise. Application was a bit tricky with this formula. It didn't self level on its own, and tended to leave lines where the polish was applied. Top coat did help but not completely. Photos are three coats with top coat.

ALICE is a lavender shimmer. I feel it leans a bit to a frost polish as well. The shimmer is very subtle. Formula wise, this was great. Full coverage in two coats and no streaking or leveling issues to report. Photos are two coats with top coat.

LILY is described as a hot fuchsia creme, however this was more crelly for me. I've included a bottle shot, because it actually looks like some of the pigment is separating. Even after a good shake, rattle, and roll, there was no change. I think this is why the formula isn't as described. Dried slightly matte. Still like the colour. I did end up with a few bubbles on one nail. Photos are three coats with top coat.

As I am sure you all know, Julep is a monthly subscription service. Available in the US and Canada. Sephora also carries a select variety as well.  They also release surprise boxes and sales. If you are interested in becoming a Julep Maven you can sign up here.
Thanks for stopping in today!

  1. Great swatches! I think I'm dropping Julep though, I just haven't found any of their polishes to be anything too special. Especially since I'm a clearance and sale person, I really don't think it's worth the price.

    1. I'm thinking about it too! I've been skipping a lot lately.
