Passion Pop swatch and review

Gloss n Sparkle Passion Pop is the polish of the day. Another Aussie indie brand that I love!

PASSION POP is a bright coral base creme with various size glitter in orange, red, white, and light gold. Even though there is a lot going on I don't find it too busy to look at or too hard to apply. Photos shown are two coats of Passion Pop with a top coat. No undies are required, but if you wanted to I suggest doing this over a white base. I've done this before and it really makes the coral stand out! To smooth out the glitter, you only need a regular top coat.

For more information on the brand, please visit their website. You can also find a list of stockists. I purchased this polish from Llarowe, where it is currently in stock! Thanks for stopping by. Hope you enjoyed!

Models Own neons

Today I have two colours from Models Own Ice Neon collection. These polishes have been designed to keep refrigerated to make the fluorescent colour last. I'll admit that I find this a bit gimmicky. Mine are stored with the rest of my polishes. Do you keep yours in the fridge?

Formula on both was great! Models Own can be hit or miss formula wise for me, so I was happy about that.  And of course, like most neons, you can layer over a white base to give more pop. I chose to use on their own to show the true colour.

BUBBLEGUM is a pink fluorescent neon. Photos are two coats with top coat. Great coverage. This is an in your face pink. No denying that this is a neon polish!

PUKKA is a bright purple. Not quite as fluorescent as Bubblegum, but still very bright. Again, two coats with top coat.

For more information on Models Own and where to buy, please visit their site here. These polishes are available from many online retailers. I purchased these from Nail Polish Canada.

Personally I loved these two. I'm a big fan of neons! Thanks for stopping by today.

Color Club Cosmic Fate

Cosmic Fate from the Halo Hues 2013 collection.

Color Club polishes are available at too wide a variety of places to name them all. You'll know better yourself, the best place to get them!

Cosmic Fate is a pinky, goldish, peachy?  linear holographic. Photos are 2 coats with top coat. All pics taken in natural light.

Amazing formula on this. Had absolutely no issues. Wore it for about 2 1/2 days and had no tip wear or chips. Love it!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you all have a great weekend.

Hippty Hop by Delush Polish

Welcome! Today's polish is Delush Polish Hippty Hop. Or possibly Hippity Hop. Strange I know. The listings say hippity, but the bottle says hippty. Take your pick I guess. Anyway, this polish is from the Eggsra Special Limited Edition set that was released for Easter. Don't panic, it's still available.

Adrianna (the maker) states this polish was inspired by the Cadbury cream egg. It's a milky white base full of yellow, orange, blue and pale green glitter. Great application. I used three coats for full coverage. I also used a coat of Gelous, but it isn't really necessary. A thicker top coat would do the job. The bubble you see is from top coat, not the polish!

Delush Polish is available to purchase here. Shipping is available everywhere! You can also follow along on facebook for updates and sneak peeks.
Thanks for looking!

I Gotta Blush On You...

I Gotta Blush On You from Sephora by OPI. I found this at my local Winners! Available at Sephora too! I'm always on the hunt for a nice nude. Who would think that they could be so hard to find.

Following the name, I Gotta Blush On You, is a blush toned neutral. With my skin tone this appeared to have a bit of a brown undertone. 1st coat was streaky, but the 2nd almost completely covered. I did a light 3rd coat just to touch up a bit. Great formula. Photos taken outdoors in the sun. With top coat.

Strangely, this gave me a bit of lobster hands. I didn't expect that with this shade. Of course that all depends on individual skin tone. Sadly I don't think I'll be wearing this on its own again, but I can see using it for nail art. This is just based on colour. It did have a great formula and good coverage. Do you have trouble finding nice neutrals? Thanks for stopping by!

The Limelight by Bondi New York

Bondi New York is a new polish brand that launched this year.  All polish is 5 free and American made. Please visit their website for more information.  The site also has links to their social media platforms to follow along if you wish.  It appears that shipping is available internationally.  I purchased this polish from Harlow & Co.  I'm not sure if there were other places to buy from.

The Limelight is a lime green creme polish. This did appear to have yellow undertones. Could just be my skin tone of course. I used three coats for full coverage. Almost had it in two, but needed some touch ups on some nails. No issues with formula or application. Photos taken outdoors in the sun.

I love this! The colour is very close to a neon. I realize this shade isn't for everyone, but it is definitely for me! I have two more colours to try from Bondi and now I can't wait!
Thanks for visiting today, and hope to see you back soon!

sonia kashuk state of the art trio

The Sonia Kashuk state of the art trio is a set I picked up at Target. It's the first time I have tried this brand, and I believe it is a Target exclusive. It also came with two nail art brushes that I haven't tried yet. The colours are described as ocean inspired.

Here is the link to the product at Target http://www.target.com/p/sonia-kashuk-limited-edition-state-of-the-art-nail-art-set/-/A-14346301#prodSlot=medium_1_12

First up is Fairy Princess. If this is supposed to be ocean inspired, I'm not sure how they came up with the name? This is a mint green creme with blue shimmer throughout. The shimmer is much more noticeable in person. Very pretty. I used three thin coats. This had the best formula of the bunch. Smooth application and no leveling issues. Photos are with top coat.

Contessa is described as an aqua blue. I feel it's a bit darker then an aqua. I know the photos aren't the best, but this was giving me a hard time with colour accuracy. Three thin coats were used. I did get some bubbles with this formula. Also, it didn't self level, but top coat did help with that.

By The Sea, finally a name that fits the collection. Although on the site this is called cobalt blue, on me it was more of a blurple! This colour also gave me fits trying to photograph accurately. This was the hardest polish to work with. Formula was thicker, yet didn't self level. Tended to show all the flaws in my nails for some reason. It did cover in two coats. No bubbles in this one though! Photos are with top coat.

Please note that I only swatched these, so I didn't test whether there was any staining. If you happen to know, please fill us in!
Of the three, I only liked Fairy Princess. Bit of a bummer, but maybe the brushes will make up for it when I get around to trying them. I hope you enjoyed and always love your feedback!

Punk and Hipster Chick

Hello everyone!
Today I have two polishes from Chick Nail Polish. Polish is 3 free and vegan friendly. For more information, please visit their site HERE. They also have a facebook page.

PUNK CHICK is a bright orange creme. Kind of reminds me of a creamsicle. Just slightly darker. Great application. Full coverage in two coats and photos are without top coat. It's really very shiny on its own! Self leveled beautifully.  I can see myself wearing this all year.

HIPSTER CHICK is a bright lime green with loads of holographic glitter. I'm going to call this one a jelly. It ends up looking like a creme formula, but when applying you know it's more jellyish. I needed four coats for full coverage. Again photos are without top coat. Applied nicely even with the four coats. Had no issues with the formula thickening with each coat.

These polishes are available through their website that I linked above. I bought these through Llarowe as shipping to Canada was much cheaper. Currently these polishes are in stock at both. I hope you liked them!

Scofflaw Nail Varnish Wee Beasties

Scofflaw Nail Varnish is a big 3 free indie polish. This is the first polish from this brand that I have tried. I'll definitely be going back for more! For more information on the brand I suggest you follow on Facebook. Their page seems to have the most current information. I purchased this polish from Llarowe.

WEE BEASTIES is an army green based glitter polish with copper shimmer. Filled with various size copper, pink and brown hexagons. This applied like a dream. I used two medium coats and had full coverage. Smoothed out completely with one coat of Seche Vite. This polish dries a bit matte. I included one pic of this. I actually really liked the matteness. The rest of the pictures are with top coat.

Loved this polish and glitter combo. All my favourites in one bottle! I have one more polish that I bought at the same time, so keep your eyes out for that.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed.

The White Post

I was recently watching a discussion about the best white polish. This inspired me to dig out all the whites I could find in my collection. Turns out I have TEN. Oops.

Wasn't sure the best way to go about this, so I've split it into two. Five polishes for each set. Just seemed to be the easiest way and eliminated a VERY pic heavy post.

Each nail has two coats of polish and no top coat. Since most of us use white as a base or for nail art I wanted to show it the way we want to use it. (No one wants to use four coats of white under something and then keep going with their manicure.)

First set:
Thumb - Julep Kate, Index - China Glaze White On White, Middle - Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On, Ring - Cult Nails Tempest, Pinky - OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

Yes, opi my boyfriend scales walls is very slightly tinted grey. I thought I would include it because a lot of people use it. And it does look more white then grey. You'll see in the pics.

Second Set:
Thumb - OPI Alpine Snow Matte, Index - Essie Blanc, Middle - Sinful Colors Snow Me, Ring - Barielle Enduring, Pinky - Quo By Orly French White.

Enduring and French White seem to have a bit of a dirty white look to them.

I'm not going to critique all of them. We'd be here all day. I'll just go with my top three!

1. Cult Nails Tempest. It's almost a one coater. Would be if you have shorter nails. It's also a little thicker and great for nail art.
2. Sally Hansen White On. Again very close to a one coater. Cheap too!
3. OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls. It's just very versatile.

What are your thoughts on white?  Do you have a favourite that wasn't included?

Thanks for looking and I hope some of you find this helpful!
