Nail Polish Canada challenge week 3

This weeks theme is "trim the tree"

As we decorated our tree last night I was finally inspired to sit down and do my mani. I think this turned out better then my first attempt in the challenge. As I'm a nail art newbie don't expect too much! Everything but the bell is done with polish. The bell is a sticker. On to the photos.

Unfortunately my holly looks more like a blob of green:(

And yes, I do have candy canes on my tree.

Some Cirque du Soleil

Today I have two of the China Glaze Cirque du Soleil creme polishes. Def Defying and Surreal Appeal were the ones I chose from this collection. Both had a good formula and covered in two coats.

Up first is Def Defying. I know not everyone likes green, but I love it! And even better is I don't have another green quite like this in my collection!

Photos taken in artificial light. Blah to the bad weather we've been having. They don't call it the Wet Coast for nothing.

Surreal Appeal is a coral pink colour. I find it appears brighter on the nail then it does in the bottle. A strange shade for a winter collection, but I do like it!

KBShimmer Winter part 1

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Today I have 2 of the 4 polishes I purchased from the KBShimmer winter collection. They were bought from Harlow&Co.

First up is Cocoa Nut. This applied easily and was completely opaque in 2 coats! I realise brown polish isn't every ones cup of tea, but I love it.

Next is Sugar Plum Faerie. Pictures show 2 coats, but I still didn't quite have complete coverage. You either need a 3rd coat or perhaps a base colour.

I love the different glitters in this. Next time I will try this over a base colour. I found it started to apply a bit thick. This is a top coat hungry polish, but that is to be expected.
