Jindie Nails Burrrberry and Santa Claws

The indies continue with some more polish from newcomer Jindie Nails. I featured one of her Christmas polishes, Grinch here. I have 2 more for today.

Burrrberry is a white crelly base with various "berry" coloured glitter. Some appear to be holographic. Applied like a dream. I only needed 2 coats for the photos! Glitter laid flat on the nail, and I didn't have to do any dabbing for coverage. This is part of the Winter Chic collection.

Santa Claws is a clear based topper with square matte glitter in red, white, black, and green. Photos are 1 1/2 coats over Sephora by OPI Mr. Right Now.

Nostalgic Nail Lacquer, My New Wave Winter picks

Rolling along with the indies... Nostalgic Nail Lacquer New Wave Winter! These polishes were released at the end of 2012. I loved them all, but chose to buy 3. My picks were Personal Jesus, Rock Me Amadeus and Mad World. Of course I was around for all these songs their first time around, so I was totally drawn to this collection. Warning, this post is pic heavy! Enjoy.

These polishes are still available at her store. I'm considering getting more. My poor credit card :(

Personal Jesus 3 coats no undies. Medium grey base with purple, teal and white glitter in various sizes. Also some larger black hexes. Although you can see from the photos, only one of those made it out of the bottle.

Rock Me Amadeus 4 coats, no undies. I would layer this over white next time. White crelly base with teal, purple and magenta square glitter. Also some finer glitters in the same colours, along with the larger black hexes, that again were elusive. More came out in this polish, but still not a lot. FYI I love square glitter!

And then we have Mad World. OMG! Described as having 100+ glitters. I believe it. You'll just have to see the swatches. I layered this over Sally Hansen Snappy Sorbet. I did have some issues with bar glitter not laying flat, but who doesn't have that problem with bar glitter!

I just love the possibilities you have with this polish.

KBShimmer Winter part 2

Today are the final 2 polishes from this collection that I purchased. Candy Cane Crush and All Decked Out. You can see the first 2 that I reviewed HERE.

First up is Candy Cane Crush. Various sizes of red and white hexagons in a clear base. Also, this polish is scented! I have read that a lot of people love the peppermint scent. Personally I don't. I have never understood the point of scented polish. I know, bah humbug to me :) I chose to wear this over China Glaze Def Defying.

This is just one coat of Candy Cane Crush! Applied very smoothly and all glitters laid flat to the nail. The clear base was a tad thick but didn't create any problems with application.

Next is All Decked Out. A forest green tinted base with gold stars and various sizes of gold, red, blue, purple and green glitters. I may have missed a colour in there! No undies used for the photos.

This was 3 coats of All Decked Out. No vnl. I did have to fish for stars, but other then that there were no problems with application. I liked how every nail ended up with a different combination of glitters. Gave this a unique look. Even with that being said, I only liked this polish. I really wanted to love it. I am a huge fan of greens, so this was the polish from the collection that I was most looking forward too!

Some Cirque du Soleil

Today I have two of the China Glaze Cirque du Soleil creme polishes. Def Defying and Surreal Appeal were the ones I chose from this collection. Both had a good formula and covered in two coats.

Up first is Def Defying. I know not everyone likes green, but I love it! And even better is I don't have another green quite like this in my collection!

Surreal Appeal is a coral pink colour. I find it appears brighter on the nail then it does in the bottle. A strange shade for a winter collection, but I do like it!

KBShimmer Winter part 1

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. Today I have 2 of the 4 polishes I purchased from the KBShimmer winter collection. They were bought from Harlow&Co.

First up is Cocoa Nut. This applied easily and was completely opaque in 2 coats! I realise brown polish isn't every ones cup of tea, but I love it.

Next is Sugar Plum Faerie. Pictures show 2 coats, but I still didn't quite have complete coverage. You either need a 3rd coat or perhaps a base colour.

I love the different glitters in this. Next time I will try this over a base colour. I found it started to apply a bit thick. This is a top coat hungry polish, but that is to be expected.
